Ir Yamim is an amazing, beautiful beach neighborhood. Walking out of the building is the beach to the right on the street and a newer mall and public transportation 5-10 minutes walk to the left. There is a wonderful cafe on the beach and plenty of restaurants, 2 supermarkets and a convenience stores you can walk to.
Buses and sheruts (vans with a set price that stop locally and in nearby cities that are very cheap) are right up the street. You can take them to downtown Netanya with a shuk and lots of shops and restaurants as well as Tel-Aviv and Herzliya with its beautiful marina in 30 minutes. There is a train station 10 minutes away where you can find easy transportation to Jerusalem and all parts of Israel.
