Refurbished detached house in the small town of Kirikushi on Etajima, Hiroshima prefecture.
House consists of Living Room, Kitchen, Dining/Spare Room, separate WC & Bathroom, 2 Bedrooms and storage space throughout. There is also a large covered veranda suitable for drying washing, parking for 2-3 cars and a large garden.

The whole place has been deep cleaned, new flooring laid in the 2 downstairs rooms, re-painted kitchen and new lino laid, re-painted bathroom and new lino laid in the WC. It has also been fire alarmed throughout and will have an emergency light installed in the coming weeks. Property is furnished with the following:

Heated carpet, coffee table, zabutons, S & SD futon set, pillows, covers and spares, curtains, kitchen utensils, 2x fire extinguishers, pots pans, cutlery etc, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster, gas table/grill, washing machine, large sofa, TV, oil heater, 1x A/C unit upstairs and 1x downstairs living room

Kirikushi is a quiet rural town but has an active Oyster farming industry and is the main ferry port for commuters to and from Hiroshima city. Local amenities within walking distance are somewhat limited, there are 2 grocery/liqour stores open until about 1800 or 1900, alcohol and tobacco vending machines available til 2300 and a few small restaurants open during lunch hours. The nearest convenience store is 15 mins drive away, the nearest supermarkets along with some other restaurants and fast food outlets etc is about 25 mins drive, these shops are all on a bus route passing through Kirikushi. Public transport access to Hiroshima and Kure city is very convenient, its about 60/50 mins to Hiroshima centre/station (2 min walk - 30min ferry - 30/20min tram, approx 600JPY) ferries are daily approx every 40min between 0640 and 2130/2100

Smoking is allowed in the genkan (entrance room) or veranda, other rooms will risk setting off the fire alarm system. A well behaved (toilet trained) dog or cat is allowed just please take care not to walk muddy paws through the house on rainy days... :P (If you need informal advice on importing a pet to Japan just ask)

We are also registered as a guesthouse but are limited to 180 guesthouse leasing days in a year upto 3 months in advance, therefore ideally we would be looking for 1 or 2 tenants wanting to stay for upto ~6 months on a student or working holiday visa but we are flexible so if you are interested or have any questions please get in touch.

Also regarding cost, we are looking at 70000JPY per calendar month (+1 mth security deposit) including tax, 1st 10000JPY of electric p/m, gas, water, Hikari high speed (fttp) Internet, (everything except heater oil) payable with cash, BACs or Paypal.
